I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone a lot lately… which is really weird for me.

Example A. I finally gave in and let a friend highlight my hair a few weeks ago. Actually, we did some root-touch ups to cover my gray strands up. We decided on a “medium golden brown” that ended up barely standing out – which was perfect.

So Saturday we went back and decided to go for real highlights – “warm bronze”. I like the results, but parts of my hair kept more of the color than others, so I can’t part my hair down the middle anymore because of those areas.

I also let my friend cut my hair a good two inches and layered it, which I have NEVER let anyone else do other than my usual lady back home. To me, paying $35 for a haircut is okay – because I know it will get done the way I like it. Besides, twice a year really isn’t that often… but now that I know I have someone else to cut it – oh the possibilities…

Example B. I went with the same friend to a Catholic church on Easter.

I’d like to consider myself religious. I believe in God and blah blah blah – that wasn’t sarcasm, that was me avoiding religious talk because it makes people feel uncomfortable or something. But I don’t go to church, like at all. I haven’t been consistently in at least four years, possibly more. So the Catholic church experience was… interesting, in a good way. I didn’t feel awkward, out of place, or anything.

Example C. I’ve started eating spinach… in really small amounts. I think this is self-explanatory – I used to hate it, I’ll eat it now in moderation.

So I’m taking suggestions on what else I should try… any suggestions?

  1. I have nothing. I want to say something, but it’s not even at the back of my tongue. In fact, I don’t even think the words are anywhere near the vocal cords.

Which is funny, considering I’m typing…

  2. Be a nude model in a nude arts class? That’s something I’ve pondered over a few times in the past. I don’t think I have a great body for it but it’d be a laugh.

Or you could possibly try a bubbly spa at your local health centre or wherever they do those kinds of things. They rock.

I’m going with an “absolutely not!” for the nude model – I really don’t like my body right now LOL

I can’t to anything too pamper-y or else I’ll lose motivation for finishing the school year HAHA! Maybe I’ll add that to my summer plans :)
