I’ve realized this week that I’m more OCD than I originally considering myself to be.

I decided after reading over some of the comments on my last entry that I would challenge myself. I decided to unorganize my shirts and resist the urge to clean up every little piece of trash.

I originally told myself I could last a week.

I didn’t even last a whole two days. Go ahead and laugh.

Saturday night I went to bed early, so no problems there. Sunday was okay – I was already feeling anxious about my shirts being in the wrong order, so I spent most of my time studying in the lobby in order to get away from things that needed to be put away and cleaned.

Then Monday came around. My tote bag from Sunday was on the floor and our room needed to be vacuumed, badly. I put it off for an hour while I ate lunch and cleared out emails. Then I heard the vacuum cleaner down the hall.

Before I knew it, I had plugged the vacuum in and cleaned up the crumbs from the day before, picked up the little pieces of paper around the room, hung my tote bag up, and reorganized my sock drawer (again).

I failed, yet I’m okay with that. My shirts are back in color order, my socks are reorganized, my tote bag is put away, and the floor it spotless.

And I like it that way.

  1. After reading this entry I decided to take my worn clothing in the hamper and throw it all over the room.

  2. There is never anything wrong with being TOO clean. Be happy you are obsessive about cleanliness and not nonchalant to filth.

    AHHH! PICK IT UP!

There are times where I just need to calm down though, and at least I can admit that now.

    How about no?
