I don’t know about you guys, but when I graduated high school way back when, one of my first thoughts was “THANK GOD, NO MORE HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA!!!”

Unfortunately, I was sadly mistaken… I feel like drama is worse now that I’m nearing the end of my college education than it ever was before. And the worst part?

It’s people I used to be friends with in high school.

Background Story

So I used to hang out with these two people. A boy, let’s call him M, and a girl, we’ll call her L. L & M dated for about two years or so and I was best friends with both of them.

Over the summer, L broke up with M for about the hundredth time and M finally had enough. M is like my little brother, I love him to death, but not in the romantic sense. A few months later, L accused M of cheating on her with me even though I had had a boyfriend at the time. I found out from about 3 of her other close friends/relatives who were asking if it was true, which of course, it is not.

The Now

My sister and this girl are still friends, which is okay. I deal with it, whatever. I feel a little betrayed, but I’m a big girl. You know what really pisses me off though? I went to play practice last night and my sister and her friend sat there and talked about me the whole time… when I was a whole two feet away. How fucked up is that?

I think that I’m more upset that my sister refuses to acknowledge that this girl totally tried to fuck me over with most of my other friends than I am that the girl turned out to be a bitch.

After all, I’m still friends with the guy, the girl’s older brother & cousin. In fact, I’m hanging out with her ex and her cousin tomorrow. Haha.

Wouldn’t you guys be pissed if your sister did that to you? Or is it just me? I don’t know, sometimes people just suck.

  1. So L and your sister are friends. Were the two of them friends before L had a problem with you? Another question: How does your sister feel about M? Does she like the guy? And does she think you and M were together?

Basically, it doesn’t REALLY matter because when a couple breaks up horribly, all the friends tend to take a side. It’s not really the best line of action but it’s usually what happens, and it’s almost taboo for someone to be friendly with both parties, even two years later.

  2. I hate high school drama, and any other kind of drama – it’s just so pointless.
I would be a bit pissed off at my sister aswell, she should stand up for you not talk about you, especially when you’re 2ft away! :S

Yeah, they were friends before. She was just jealous because the girl and I hung out together and kind of ignored my sister, so now my sister is into this whole “You got her for X number of years, now it’s my turn” phase. Ironically, she started hanging out with one of my ex-boyfriends more often now too.

  4. Don’t let it get to you, obviously she’s still stuck in the high school phase of drama and you’re past it. I say let the chips fall where they may.

  5. Lets see… Your sister most likely does’nt mean it, hopefully not. She might just want to fit in or something but I agree drama f’n sucks and some times it gets worse out of high school. It’s sad I thought we were suppose to grow up and mature… Turns out we just become big giant babies lol…
