Sadness

December 30th, 2008, 8:00 am
By John

He sat there, wondering about the good things in life. Drinking his coffee, waiting for his train, ticket in hand, he couldn’t stop wondering.

His ex was a good woman, but after the divorce things went chaotic. She started dating a woman — A WOMAN — and it broke him down. His ego was crushed, but the worst was when he found out about Jim.

He never know he got his then-wife pregnant. The divorce came and went to quick, and by the time everything was settled, she was already halfway across the country.

Seven years later, he gets the call. The “You’re a father” speech, followed with a “I need back child support” demand.

Two days later, police are at his door with this six year old child, saying that his mother was killed in a car accident. That this boy, Jim, was his flesh and blood.

Which leads us to the now. Waiting for that train, Bob heading to work. Waiting for answers. Answers that will never come.

I’m doing okay. Just trying to get back into writing again. Maybe in the next couple of weeks I’ll start do do something every couple days again. This is the first fiction piece I’ve done in a while, short but sweet.

    Miss you, Cat!
