Thank you for the referral list.
I hope some day I can hear from another person’s perspective how they view my blog (good or bad) because I think it would be heart warming (or melting) and a chance for me to grow.
I was thinking about plugging other blogs like you have done for three reasons:
A) to help another person gain insight into the mind of one of their readers
B) to bring great bloggers together
C) it is a powerful feeling a person gets when they read what others actually think about them

Now if I do the same, and plug blogs, I feel like I will be copy cat.
No one likes a copy cat despite the whole imitation-is-the-sincerest-form-of-flattery thing.

i have to agree personal blogs can be some of the best reads out. Wheather its humour, debates or what, you can always comment on something.
