hahahahah!!!

I went home today and decided to take a dip into the pool.

BUT SOMEONE STOLE IT!

Apparently, that’s what happened to some guy in New Jersey.

In what’s the best story I think I’ve ever heard about, someone not only stole a pool… but the water in it, too!

The woman wants to know “what the heck they did with the water.” Apparently, there was approximately 1,000 gallons of water, and now not only is the pool and the water gone, but so is the pool filter and robot to keep it clean.

Here’s what they did after the fact: They decided to get chains and padlocks and tied everything left down.

Because you know, the robbers are going to come back for the BBQ set.

I’d guess the water was syphoned off by garden hose. It would be pretty easy to sneak into a yard once it was dark out, start the syphon then leave it there to come back and steal the pool in the early morning hours.

    Pretty funny though!

It would have to have been done between 1am (when the guy himself got home) and 5am (when the woman was leaving for work). But there was no wet anything, so let’s say they did that - where did the water go? Where did they put it?

Around here they syphon them with a hose long enough to go from the pool into one of the flood drains on the street. I’ve seen some pretty big pools drained overnight when they use more than one hose so it’s doable.

And really, I think that if the guy got home at 1AM there’s a good chance he’s not going to notice a hose in the pool in the dark.

And no one in the local area noticed anything suspicious?

I know that it is 1 in the morning, but surely the noise they made would wake people up and drunk people would be lurking.

Drunk man -points- OMG THAT POOL HAS LEGS?
