My car broke down. I was at work, but I had to find a way home. The next morning I have someone look at the car and we find out it’s the battery terminal.
Apparently, a lime green monster threw up on it or something. Battery acid.
Had to cut the old one off completely - there was no saving it. Half of it already corroded away. The new part looks more like a paper clip binder than a terminal cable part.
In my investigations, though, I busted the seal on the distributor cap. The car runs right, but I need to get a new seal or a new cam and rotor altogether now.
I tried explaining my car woes to my friend Ashley, and she was like, “Yeah don’t talk to me about cars, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I can’t change my own oil, but I can replace an alternator!”
I did that once. The ground was a bit too close to the radiator. It shorted out while on the highway.
Oops.
