I opened up a bank account recently. They told me at WAMU that I would be getting my checks and bank card in a week. So I waited the week, and got my checks as scheduled. The bank card…
That took another week. Apparently they did it that way for “security reasons.” Because apparently someone can’t write a check and steal all my money, they need the bank card, too. Sorry, but it’s still going to the same address, right?
Now that I have my new bank card, I’m switching all my online stuff over to the new account. Everything went smoothly until I got to EZ-Pass. I tried to log in my account but it told me my access was denied because the password was attempted too many times, to call in the morning.
I called, and I got this Asian bitch on the line who thought ESL was a class you take for extra credit. I couldn’t understand half of what she said, which is exactly what you want for a customer service agent. She kept telling me she couldn’t give me account information over the phone, despite it being my account.
This is where I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. She quickly told me she couldn’t, then when I insisted, she put me on hold. “I kent put you threw, erery one in meeting,” she said. I think.
So I asked again, insisting that I speak with someone other than her. She refused, then told me that I needed to give her my phone number so they can call me back. I told her my phone number was on file, but that I wanted to speak to someone right now.
The bitch hung up on me.
The steam didn’t get to shoot out the ears before I hit redial. I told the agent on the other end my situation, then about the other woman I was just on the phone with. She didn’t ask me for anything else, she put me right through to a manager.
The matter with my account was resolved quickly. The other issue, I don’t really know, but Jennifer — the manager I spoke with — assured me things would be taken care of. Does this mean she’s going to put a hit on her?
I’ve been able to get everything settled, so I ran the Quicken that came with my computer and started to input everything. When I went to back it up, it tried to install something, and then it corrupted the program. Everything I just added was lost.
Looking through my room was ridiculous to find an older version of Quicken. I found it, installed it, and hopefully I got everything right. I’ll find out when I get my first bank statement.
If you’ll excuse me, I have pennies to count. It’s laundry day.
