I ordered my Zune at the end of October, a gift to myself for still having sanity after midterms. I had looked at them for months, but never been able to commit to buying something that was over $200. But when the price dropped for a day, I managed to save over $50 and get free shipping.
I have a few things that I’d like to get for my Zune, and I actually have the money to do so now. Of course, now I don’t know if I really want these items. The main item I’m having a hard time with is a case for my Zune. I don’t want my screen to end up all scratched, and with it living in my purse that chance is really high.
I’ve managed to narrow it down to the following:
30GB leather case. My favorite of all of the ones I’ve looked at. It’s brown and pink - which I’m not a fan of - but it’s made from leather and includes a download card for points to use in the Zune Marketplace. Good news is that it wouldn’t cost me $50 if I ordered it off of Amazon, but it’s still more than I’d like to pay.
Belkin acrylic case. My second favorite. It’s a kickstand-style case made from durable acrylic, it has a belt clip, and it has a screen protector. Price-wise, it’s in the middle of the two cheap ones and the more expensive case.
I also looked at the compact slip case and the jam jacket, both looked cheap and didn’t offer the protection that my Zune needs in order to survive in my purse.
I have to buy a charger for my Zune that plugs into a wall, because charging from my laptop isn’t working well. My laptop hates sharing its power with something else.
Other than that, I’d love to have a dock and a remote. But a remote just screams L-A-Z-Y.
I’ll just put it on my wishlist for now.
