I wonder which one will make me go insane first: loud upstairs neighbor or a cold shower everyday.
It looks like I’ll get to test it out this year!
I just moved into my new place last weekend. It’s a three year old building that comes with weekly housekeeping, so I guess I can’t complain too much.
Except when it comes to the people that live upstairs… and the fact that I have yet to have a HOT shower.
The morning after I moved in, I woke up to a scratching noise coming directly above my head. Apparently someone decided to move furniture around… at six in the morning. Every morning since then I’ve woken up at some horrible hour of the morning with the same noise.
Last night there was a birthday party upstairs. There are two problems with this: our building is supposed to be substance free - no alcohol, no drugs - and it STARTED at 2am. After about an hour of listening to stomping, screaming, and laughing one of the guys went upstairs and threatened to call security.
A majority of the problem comes from the poor insulation between the rooms and floors. I can hear things that I shouldn’t be able to hear - people’s phone conversations, bad singing, and the toilet every time it flushes.
And I finally contacted someone to come out and look at the hot water heater. I can’t handle cold showers at seven in the morning, or anytime for that matter.
