So my friend Lyz called me the other night to tell me that her friend (also my distant friend) Sal had passed away from an intentional overdose of pills.
Yes. My old friend Sal, who was Mr. Happy-Go-Lucky, has had everything that seems to matter - TONS of friends, money, looks, a sweet ride, a house, stability - has taken life literally into his own hands and decided he wanted no part of it.

Let’s see how good he is now…

So, the retired Brett Favre is now a New York Jets quarterback. All Gang Green needs now are 10 other solid players and they might have a decent offense.
I can’t tell you how little I care about this. No, it’s not because I’m a Giants fan. It’s because #4 has shown that he is a whining, spoiled brat that can’t accept the fact that he’s done.
How many times is he going to retire? When his season in New York flops, he’ll look like an idiot for trying to relive some kind of glory that he can win with any team.
If he can make that hapless Jets team win the Super Bowl, then I’ll eat my words.

So Alex Rodriguez is nailing Madonna, but Madonna’s people say that’s not happening. So what if they go out partying, if she goes to a Yankees game in his seats, and supposedly he leaves her apartment late at night.
The next day we find out that Alex’s wife is nailing Lenny Kravitz, but nobody’s saying anything except that she’s in Paris where you-know-who is performing on tour.
They all have something fun in common: A-Rod’s manager.

I made a bet with someone that the Celtics would beat the Lakers in the NBA Finals. Not really sure what he was thinking: Best team in basketball against Kobe Bryant. So far it looks like you can add this to all the other bets you really shouldn’t make with me…
I have two fans aimed at the Lil’ Moo. I have a big fan aimed at me, and the window fan with the temperature thing set to 70 degrees - which it probably won’t see again until the end of August (I don’t do A/C - my allergies would KILL me if I did). We have to go shopping today, plus I want to go to the circus. Is the circus somewhere you want to go though to keep cool? Hmm…
Elyse sat in last week on the Radio X Show, and will be hanging out this week, too. I’m trying to bribe her to join the show on a regular basis for the summer. What should I do, use cupcakes? Cookies? Pencils?
Oh, and I’m drinking more water. I don’t know what the results will be in regards to my bloated ankle crap, or when I should notice them. I’m hoping before I die?!?

KIMBOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

He stepped inside a steel cage Saturday night against a MMA star that actually knows how to grapple, strike, and overall kick some ass.
I watched the internet sensation Kimbo Slice kick ass, run out of gas, and then hit the glass ear of his opponent to cause the cauliflower ear to burst.
On national television.
It was the best moment on CBS since the Janet Jackson incident.
I was really into the fight. I stood up and cheered when he landed a bunch of stiff shots. I gripped my chair when he was in trouble. I screamed for him to get out of the submissions. And I was disappointed in the way the fight was stopped. We need more bloodshed like this on TV.
Hmm… the DNC convention is coming…

So here I am, trying to figure out what to blog about again, and I go to my son for tips.
He tells me to write my ABCs.
