I’m a big reader, and one of my favorite authors is James Patterson. Whether it’s his “Alex Cross” series or any number of his books, I pick one up and fly through it.

The problem is, I did just that with a new book “The Quickie” he wrote, and… well… I wasn’t as pleased with it as I thought I would be.

Vince McMahon had been dreaming of having professional wrestling considered mainstream enough that it would be talked about on the entertainment shows, news, and by people at the water cooler. Thanks to Chris Benoit, all you see for the past couple of weeks is professional wrestling, but not in the light the WWE Chairman was expecting. My thoughts on why Benoit killed his wife and child? He probably caught her with another man, and he probably felt like a jerk for killing his kid’s mom. Or maybe he was just real fucked in the head.

I remember the day well, as if it were just yesterday, though it was, in fact, over 20 years ago.

I was listening to I-95, one of Fairfield County’s rock stations. The cool folks listened to The Lich, a DJ on another station further up the dial, who played much better music, but I couldn’t get it on my home radio. Thus, it was I-95 for me. This was probably the twilight of Classic Rock - when you could still here new rock songs mixed in with Freebird.

The DJ announced, “This next band is probably going to be the next Led Zeppelin…” I sat, transfixed, convinced of the truth of his statement even though I had never heard the song. I got ready to hit “record” on my cassette deck…

I think anyone who has known me for any amount of time knows that I’m something of a breast man. One frequent commentator on my journal (which is a less embarassing way to say “my LiveJournal“) gave me the nickname Boobiemonster, presumably because I get blue, furry and googly eyed when in the presence of especially outstanding breasts.

Now, I don’t want to seem like I am abandoning boobs - far from it - but I have come around to the other side, as it were. I have seen Vida Guerra’s ass and now, praise be the booty gods, I am a believer in the power of tush.
