A dying institution

Over the years marriage has been completely bastardized. Does it even mean anything to anyone anymore?

I mean really, come on. People get married for the wrong reasons. Somewhere along the lines true love has been lost and it’s become more of a lust thing, sometimes with some “what you can give to me” thrown in - financial security and whatnot.

Black History Month

So this has been the first February in I don’t know how long where I’ve not been bombarded with Black History Month reminders and such. Don’t get me wrong, I do believe that we shouldn’t forget what happened, nor should we overlook the history and culture of anyone… I just don’t believe that Black History Month is what we need, nor does it sit well with me.

Feed me damn it.

I’m hungry. Extremely hungry. It’s not that I didn’t eat when I was supposed to or anything, it just didn’t stick I guess so here I’m finding myself after midnight wanting nothing more than a nice gooey Nachos Bel Grande from Taco Bell.

The problem? I live in a small town so they’re probably closed and even if they weren’t closed I have no car to get there and get my food with.

So starve I shall, because I’m too lazy to cook.

Complete sadness.

It’s always interesting when random conclusions seem to pop up out of nowhere. Or semi-nowhere. My most recent, though, is this: If it wasn’t for my being so damned empathetic I’d probably be sitting in jail. To put it mildly.
